New

There aren’t even It does. But when you buy a bike from a Honda outlet you expect it to work and ride like a normal motorcycle. The Honda script appears only on the keyfob, perhaps in an attempt to fool bystanders into thinking the Fury really is a one-off.

There’s too much wiring in the handlebar region, otherwise it succeeds. The front mudguard hugs the tyre tightly, the nine-spoke wheels look fantastic, and a lot of attention has been paid to achieving an uncluttered appearance that many one-off custom builders fail to achieve. Stylistically it’s a bona fide chopper, with an absurdly raked-out fork angle, high headstock, space above the engine huge enough to poke your head through, and a perfectly sculpted fuel tank that’s both delicate and elegant, if inevitably rather small at 2.7 gallons. The fact that the Fury comes from the most conservative and mainstream of the Japanese factories makes it arguably the most radical motorcycle we’ve seen for being.

Reckon the bikes ridden by Peter Fonda and Dennis Hopper in Simple Criterion. For the uninitiated, “chopper” is a derivative term for a bike with a long wheelbase, superfluous-long forks, high bars and low seat. The Fury is a full-on chopper, the sort of thing you might see rolling out of the workshop of the tediously feuding Teutuls of Orange County Choppers (purveyors of some of the world’s most acclaimed custom motorcycles) except the mass-produced Honda is far better made. In fact I’m still open to persuasion.

It took me a long time to choose what I plotting of Honda’s new Fury. When it’s made by a conservative mainstream manufacturer from Japan.  When is a custom bike not a custom bike?

The Best

Low Seat - The Fury's super-low 26.7-inch seat height is an integral design element that fits in behind the slim and long fuel Unique Wheels and Tires - A fat 200-series rear tire is paired with a slim 21-inch front tire, both wrapped around distinctive alloy wheels. Shaft Final Drive - The shaft final drive is quiet, clean, and has been uniquely integrated into the overall design. Exhaust - The Fury's engine features specially designed camshafts that also add to the unique V-twin sound and power-pulse exhaust sensations. It's functional too, delivering smooth ride quality and responsive handling.

High Tensile Steel Frame The Fury's high-tensile steel frame is the centerpiece to this machine's open, minimalist, chopper styling. Fuel Injection Forget about fiddling with a choke the Fury's fuel-injection system means no-hassle startups on cold mornings or at high altitudes. Features 1300cc V-twin Engine Powerful 1312cc, 52-degree V-twin engine with a single-pin crankshaft and dual balancers has plenty of torque, and the feel only a V-twin can deliver. 2011 Honda Fury VT1300CX Features New for 2011, Pearl White and Matte Orange Metallic colors join Dark Red Metallic. And that’s why we’ve got an armful of cool, classic chopper-style accessories to help get you started.

Wanting to add your own personal touch to your Fury is a given. Unleash your inner Fury. If you’re looking for the buzz on this bad machine, then look no further than Facebook,YouTube, and Twitter, and see what the world is saying about the Fury. It’s all the rage. You won’t find a V-twin more righteous than the Fury’s, a 52º, 1312cc brute, putting out heaps of power and torque and a sound that is pure V-twin soul. The Beast Within.

2011 Honda VT1300CX

Call it the perfect marriage of style and substance  But like all Hondas, the 2011 Honda Fury VT1300CX is also a showcase of engineering, boasting innovative features like Programmed Fuel Injection, custom cast wheels, specially designed shaft drive, and, of course, that monster 1312cc V-twin. A Masterpiece of Form and Function Make no mistake, the 2011 Honda Fury VT1300CX is all about the way it looks, sounds and feels—and the way all these sensations make you feel when you’re riding it. Ever. And once you’ve saddled up and fired that big 1312cc V-twin, and felt its throbbing pulse beneath you, you’ll know you’ve experienced a motorcycle like none other.

Long, lean and mean, stretching nearly six feet from axle to axle, this machine literally screams with chopper style. the most distinctive custom Honda has ever created. Who would have ever thought it possible? Yet despite the extreme lines and head-turning looks, the 2011 Honda Fury VT1300CX is backed up with the same fit and finish, functionality, affordability, quality and reliability built into every Honda.

Here Honda have the rolling incarnation of the pure, undiluted chopper essence, a machine that simply looks right, sounds right and goes straight to the heart of radical enthusiasts. Yet it's a Honda, through and through.  The 2011 Honda Fury VT1300CX appears to be something from the farthest fringes of the two-wheeled world.

BMW HP2 Sports bikes

2011 BMW HP2 Sport
BMW HP2 Sport. Throttle up. Blast off.

With a staggering 130 horsepower, the HP 2 Sport features the most powerful Boxer engine ever designed by BMW Motorrad. For the first time ever, double overhead camshafts are included in our famous opposed twin cylinder motor, kicking out even more revs. Making the HP2 Sport even more track-ready is new Quickshifter technology, which means faster gear changes without having to chop the throttle or use the clutch. Add a fully adjustable Ohlins sport front and rear suspension, Radial mounted Brembo Monobloc brakes, a lightweight carbon fiber aerodynamic fairing, not to mention forged racing wheels and tires and a MotoGP-inspired cockpit that computes lap times and other racing data, and the result is one of the most advanced sport bikes to ever scorch the tarmac.

Outstanding race results are inexorably linked with BMW Motorrad’s flat twin “Boxer” models. So it is an obvious step to build a high-end version! The result is the BMW HP2 Sport: the uncompromising realisation of the 24-Hour Endurance racer as a road machine. 100 per cent motor racing genes, licensed for the road. An exclusive sports machine by BMW Motorrad for motor racing connoisseurs and 2-cylinder enthusiasts which puts racing expertise into serial production – with power and authenticity. With an incredible air/oil-cooled 98 kW (133 bhp) and 115 Nm – a unique performance for a serial production “Boxer”!

2011 BMW HP2 Sport Features
When BMW Motorrad presented the BMW HP2 Sport in autumn 2007, a dream came true for many boxer fans. Not only is the BMW HP2 Sport still the sportiest and most powerful series production flat twin of all time tailored to meet the needs of ambitious two-cylinder sports riders – its numerous exclusive details used up to now only in motorsports which entered series production for the first time on the HP2 Sport are truly fascinating.
Now BMW Motorrad is following up with the road-licensed “HP2 Sport Motorsport” special model.

The HP2 Sport achieved numerous successes in scores of races all over the world in the past 3 years, among other things with the BMW Motorrad Works Team in selected Endurance World Cup races. The racing boxer took part in renowned 24-hour classics such as Le Mans or Bol d'Or.

Like the factory machines the fairing, fuel tank, seat bench, front mudguard and engine spoiler are painted in the BMW Motorsport colours Alpine White, Lupine Blue metallic and Magma Red. The forged aluminium wheels are in Lupine Blue metallic at the front and Alpine White at the rear. In addition this exclusive special edition with the green and black start number areas on the seat body as well as the factory sticker set is visually very close to the successful BMW Motorrad Motorsport works motorcycle.

The HP2 Sport Motorsport has the same technical basis as the HP2 Sport launched in 2007. The flat twin engine equipped with double overhead camshafts and high-engine-speed capable cam followers used for valve operation delivers 98 kW (133 hp) at 8750 rpm. Maximum torque is 115 Nm at 6000 rpm, maximum engine speed being 9500 rpm.

The stainless steel exhaust system runs underneath the engine and generates the inimitable throaty boxer sound from a silencer which is aerodynamically well placed under the seat bench.

A further exclusive racing feature is the shift assistant in conjunction with the closely synchronised gearbox which permits fast upshifting without having to operate the clutch or stop accelerating. In order to reverse the shift pattern for motorracing if required, a respective substitution pressure sensor is available as an option.

The equipment and suspension of the BMW HP2 Sport Motorsport also features motorracing technology. The spring elements of the Öhlins sports suspension are fully adjustable and a Brembo braking system with radially bolted monoblock four-piston fixed callipers ensures optimum deceleration even in tough motorracing conditions.

Optimum ergonomics are ensured by the adjustable foot rest system, the cast aluminium adjustable handlebar ends as well as the radial-hand Magura instruments. The standard 2D dashboard, which stems directly from MotoGP racing, provides the rider with conventional information as well as with lap times and further motorsports relevant data.

Lightweight construction was a major factor in designing all components. This not only includes the self-supporting front fairing and the self-supporting rear made of carbon or the weight-optimised forged wheels, but also hidden details such as the lightweight generator used in motorsports.

With a dry weight of only 178 kilograms (199 kg fully fuelled according to the DIN norm), the BMW HP2 Sport Motorsport provides playful handling and great motorsports potential, be it on country roads or on the racetrack.

As an option BMW Motorrad offers ABS especially adapted for sports use. An additional pressure sensor in the front brake circuit permits more sensitive brake regulation and prevents the control unit from releasing the front brake too early when weight is taken off the rear wheel suddenly. The ABS can also be deactivated for racetrack use.

The HP2 Sport Motorsport is now available for order and limited to 400 units

2011 The Best Horex VR6 Roadster

For the year 2012 is expected to expanding sales in Europe, and to see a circular Horex in Italy we have to wait a while, provided that the project is successful  The Launch is scheduled for June 2011While the first units are expected to reach dealerships later this year. While the development of the VR6 Roadster endless process, the step goes hand in increasing its sales, which will initially be limited to Germany, Austria and Switzerland. The weight of the VR6 Horex should be geared around 239 kg, so very low overall, but definitely reduced if you think it is a six-cylinder bike.

At the rear there is a light alloy rear swingarm, which also includes the belt, Chosen for reasons of reliability and lack of maintenance. E ‘provided the presence of’ABS Series. The front fork is mounted upside down well 50 mm in diameter and 320 mm brake discs with radial mounted Brembo calipers.  The Horex VR6 Roadster is built around a twin-spar aluminum frame that interfaces to a front section of steel that serves as the steering head.

2011 New Horex VR6 Roadster

The maximum torque is declared over 150 Nm. These performances by the engineers of Horex are interesting because, depending on the configuration of charge, the maximum power is between 175 and 200 HP. This is belt-driven which, depending on the version, will carry a different gear ratio and therefore a different supply pressure.

The displacement is 1218 cm3Obtained by a piston and crankshaft by 68.0 mm by 55.0 mm, the compression ratio was kept low (9,0:1) because the Horex not pleased with the performance that this engine could have developed, have very decided to install a Rotrex supercharged radial. The solution we chose at that time, Volkswagen was different and included a completely flat head with intake and exhaust valves on the same level and combustion chamber derived almost entirely in the piston crown.

On closer inspection, however, the Exhibition in Cologne we saw another bike that boasts a six-cylinder engine, which uses, in addition, a completely new layout for the two wheels, the Horex VR6. The only other bike on the market that may include such a separation is in fact the Honda Goldwing well from 1832 cm3.  The BMW Motorrad Intermot has brought new K 1600 GT / GTL which is to operate in the motorcycle market in the small circle of vehicles driven by a propeller to six-cylinder.

2011 Horex VR6 Roadster

The distribution has three valves per cylinder, so the camshafts are different from each other: the rear six eccentric to operate the intake valves of the six “lay back, the central shaft has nine because it must handle the unloading of the rear cylinder bank and aspiration of the front and the tree has only front three cams for the three exhaust valves of the front bench. The layout engine Horex is truly unique, because its designers chose to construct a tested trialbero, With chain control, which drives the two shafts, and the inside is moved by the camshaft through a rear gear. The second advantage of this engine comes from the dimensions that are slightly higher than that of a four-line. and greatly reduce the weight.

The basic idea behind a narrow V-engine is the ability to build a six-cylinder technology without the complication of having two separate banks, Thus saving a great deal about mergers, chains, camshafts etc. The initials VR, immediately clarifies that this is a V-engine but also in line (from the German Reihen). Clemens Neese for applying two wheel and draws some technical aspects of what the planned Volkswagen few decades ago. The engine that drives the Horex was patented by the founder of the German, Mr.  The VR6 engines are nothing new, since the Volkswagen used them extensively in the past on its own Golf and CorradoBut they are a novelty among the absolute motion.

The general initial impression of all was that the concept  A photo shoot and tracking shots completed the group enjoyed slightly better weather for the run to lunch and the first chance to collect their thoughts and make notes in the comfort of the lunch stop. Able to “feather” the throttle on the fuel injected bikes and use the gears for braking as well as the “feel” of the radial front brakes, all riders navigated unfamiliar roads with ease and praised the confidence the bikes engendered. As an unplanned test of the handling and poise of the new bike, there could have been none better. With darkening skies, the conditions were challenging especially as it began to rain on previously sun baked roads creating what could only be described as “limited adhesion” characteristics.
